The Manifesto: Infiltrate, Resist & Rebel
Hey you, yes you! I'm talking to you, not your shadow.
Come closer. I gotta tell you something. Are you ready? Take a seat.
You need to hear this secret. You, my dear, aren't just an ordinary person. I SEE YOU. YOU'RE the EXTRAORDINARY person! That flame flickering in your soul, that marvelous glint in your eye, and that spark others are too afraid to approach? The one who sees clearest in the dark before anyone else. You're the one who makes a difference in this world.
You defy their logic and make them question things they are too afraid to have answered because they don't understand how to revel in a dark, subversive world. They're butterflies, and everyone loves butterflies. Yet, they are such frail things that can be easily caught, pinned to a board, put in a glass box, only to be admired in captivity, and displayed as an exhibition for an exorbitant amount with an attached sale sign. That's the willingness to be conformed and extorted for the price of the illusion of comfort and admiration.
Why would anyone have the desire to live that way, catering to a rigid collective that weaponizes its own fragile certainties only to hunt for flaws in others?
You, my friend, have survived rough environments. You've blended in cleverly amongst the uniform masses to live your truth. You've fought hard to fly in the dark, pushing past harsh storms at night, thriving in the shadows, and finding the light even when others say it's dangerous; against all odds, you are willing to fly in the dark where others fear to tread. That, my dear, is what makes you a fellow rebel mothling.
Are you ready to join the Rebellion? Do you have what it takes to be a part of the eclipse?
Welcome home, my dearest fellow rebel mothlings.
Salutations! Welcome to Goth Moth Rebellion Studios.
This isn't your auntie's Etsy page with a performative smile and "Live, Laugh, Love" embroidered onto every pillowcase. You won't find that here.
Goth Moth Rebellion Studios is my solo operation, run as a single mastermind. I keep my brand completely rooted in honesty, transparency, and high-quality craftsmanship. While I’ve had some college-level artistic training, I am a self-taught creator—learning new skills as I go and putting my soul into every single piece. Whatever inspires me or helps me get through the day goes straight into my proverbial cauldron.
I make a little bit of everything, but my work always roots itself in four raw styles of dark art:
🧠 Psychological Surrealism: Visceral art exploring intense mental health episodes and delusions entirely from the firsthand perspective of the person experiencing them.
🏛️ American Gothic Surrealism: Gritty deep-dives into historical atrocities and the heavy shadow sides of human systems.
🃏 Subversive Art: Traditional imagery twisted to challenge authority, question judgment, and hide deep truths in plain sight.
📺 Pop Low-Brow Art: High-energy, cynical subversions of modern pop culture, forced positivity, and institutional comfort.
I create to challenge the myopic thinking of the uniform collective, expose their skewed narratives, and defy a world that negates our identities as our true, authentic selves. My goal is to build raw empathy, spark true camaraderie, and cultivate a quality-driven community where we can finally find each other. I want fellow rebel mothlings fighting invisible battles to feel seen, validated, and armed against an idly complacent society. For those who feel that they don't have a voice or are afraid to speak up, you're safe here. There is a reason "Rebellion" is in my name. It is a mission with attitude.
Don't be a butterfly. Be a rebel. Revel in dark art.
Why the Death’s-Head Hawk-Moth?
Yes, it is known from The Silence of the Lambs. No, it's not a pop culture reference. (Cue the collective eye-roll.) Seriously, give me some credit here. It goes deeper than that.
So, go make some tea or coffee. Come back to your favorite cozy spot on the couch, grab your pillow away from the dog, and get comfy. Let's skip the pleasantries and get deep.
My choice of this moth as the sigil for Goth Moth Rebellion Studios is rooted entirely in its fascinating, aggressive survival instincts—behaviors that perfectly mirror the counter-subculture spirit of a solo creator navigating a chaotic world.
The real biological facts behind the choice. Time for some Nerdy Science facts:
Infiltrating the Hive: The Death’s-Head Hawk-moth is a master of subversion. It sneaks directly into hostile honeybee hives to steal food by chemically cloaking its own scent. It mimics the bees by crawling right into a rigid, uniform collective entirely undetected. And if its cover is blown? Mother Nature built this thing like a literal tactical tank. It has a thick, robust outer shell that can shrug off repeated bee stings while it finishes the raid and makes its escape.
Refusing to Suffer in Silence: Unlike almost any other moth species, the Death 's-Head has a unique internal acoustic system. When threatened or cornered, it emits a loud, sharp, piercing squeak. It refuses to be muted and forces the world to hear its distress.
Thriving in the Dark: While butterflies are celebrated by the mainstream for their fragile, daytime beauty, this moth is heavy-bodied, nocturnal, and built for resilience. It carries the stark imagery of mortality on its back and relies on raw instincts to navigate the dark.
I chose this creature because it represents tactical survival, hidden depth, and the courage to speak up loudly against a hostile environment. It doesn't just adapt to the shadows—it thrives in them.
Historically, when people saw this moth, they thought of it as an omen of death, disease, and war. It was an externalized doom, used to avoid facing their own human agency and the consequences of their illogical decision-making.
Here, at Goth Moth Rebellion Studios, it is considered the ultimate symbol of profound transformation, rebirth, cleverness, and inner strength. Essentially, Mother Nature made her own cute little misunderstood rebel with guerrilla-tactical instincts to survive in the world.
The Luminary Mastermind of the Rebellion:
I’ve never been interested in a polished, corporate "brand story," and I’m definitely not here to pitch you a sanitized version of myself. To be blunt, I can talk to myself all day, but navigating superficial small talk with strangers is entirely unnatural to me. I prefer deep, genuine conversations where we skip the pleasantries and find the common threads that prove we aren’t moving through the dark alone.
So, look at this less as a formal bio and more as an opening line.
My name is Sahira Persephone Ahvazi, and I am the creative force behind Goth Moth Rebellion Studios. My perspective has been forged by a life lived in the sharpest contrasts: I am a disabled Navy veteran who served as an 8404 FMF Corpsman, an artist on the Ace spectrum, neurodivergent, and an ambivert. I don't fit into neat, standard categories, and I stopped trying to a long time ago.
To navigate all of this, I rely heavily on dark, twisted, and sardonic humor. My biting wit and deadpan sarcasm are the exact driving forces behind the macabre poetry, satirical verses, and narrative horror fiction I write.
You might find me screaming in the crowd at a heavy metal festival, or completely refusing to leave my studio for days because I am hyper-focused on a project. I prefer absolute silence when I create. To me, the night is beautiful because the rest of the world is asleep; in that dark stillness under the moon and stars, with the crickets singing a symphony and the owls out in the wilderness, my hyperactive, creative mind finally finds its space. Turning that roaring emotional static into physical objects out of wood, wax, ink, metal, and resin is the only way I know how to find peace.
But more importantly, this space is a sanctuary. I sell wearable art as talismans, armor for identity, and subversive gear for the fellow rebel mothlings who are fighting their own invisible battles and have been ostracized by a rigid society. Together, we rebel as we go through this journey we call life.
If a piece here catches your eye, a part of my story is speaking directly to yours. It's wearable art to armour your soul. Welcome to the studio.
Be well and stay wild, my fellow rebel mothling.
